Theresa helps us wrangle our mountains of data, including work on internal tools that ensure continuous improvement in the depth, breadth, and sophistication of our data analytics.
After receiving her MJ in Multimedia and Data Journalism, her internship for USA Today through the Dow Jones News Fund centered around reporting on the 2020 US Census and the impact of the pandemic and online format on response rates in poor and minority census tracts. She looks forward to now being able to use her analytical skills to have a more direct and positive impact on the future financial well-being of individuals across the US.
We’re confident Theresa’s ready for any challenge we might throw at her; she recently went from having never camped in her life to spending six months trail building with the Appalachian Conservation Corps, and can now include on her resume experience with pick mattocks and Pulaskis, right next to Python and R.
Theresa is an avid ultimate frisbee player, even seeking out indoor fields to get her through the winter. Having lived all over Pennsylvania, she’s settled at the moment in Harrisburg with her partner. She received her BA from Bryn Mawr in Comparative Literature and her Master’s from the University of Maryland.
